Clermont County CVB presents Spring Litter Clean-Up Award
On Monday, March 13, Clermont County CVB President, Mark Calitri had the opportunity to present the 2017 Spring Litter Clean-Up t-shirt design award. The Spring Litter Clean-Up is an annual community event;an all volunteer effort to improve local parks and local streams by cleaning up litter and debris. This engages local communities and volunteers; their efforts go a long way to supporting other events and initiatives that are important to Clermont County.
2017 was the 3rd annual t-shirt design contest. The program was created to inspire creative designs to help local education and outreach efforts to raise awareness and action for litter prevention.
This year, over 181 K-12 students submitted designs. There were many thoughtful and unique designs submitted that truly highlighted the spirit of the Spring Litter Clean-Up program. This years winner is Jenna Bellonby, a 10th grader from Milford High School. According to Jenna’s teacher, Mr. Luessen, she has been very productive in terms of making artwork for various classes, but also in pursuing additional art opportunities to exhibit her work. Jenna has a passion for photography, art and design in addition to her intelligence and creativity make her a special young artist and a great student to work with.
