Clermont County- the place to EXPLORE
As we continue to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week in Clermont County we feel we would be missing the most important part of our county if we didn’t highlight our outdoor recreation.
In Clermont County we are fortunate to have so many outdoor activities and we love sharing them with our visitors. A few of our activities include hiking, biking, golfing, swimming, geocaching, running, rowing, canoeing, kayaking and the list goes on and on.
According to Trip Advisor the most visited attraction in Clermont County is the Cincinnati Nature Center. At the Nature Center you will experience award winning trails which wind through the regions natural habitats of eastern deciduous forest fields, streams and ponds. It spans 1,020 acres and offers more than 16 miles of hiking trails. This is the perfect location for a walk with your dog or for a small picnic outside with your family.
Clermont County is also home to East Fork State Park, which is one of Ohio’s largest state parks. East Fork includes 4,870 of great recreational diversity and offers natural history, including biking, boating, fishing, swimming and hiking trails. The park’s terrain includes both rugged hills and open meadows, setting the stage for a wonderful getaway. East Fork is also home to Harsha Lake which allows guest to boat, fish, canoe, kayak, and most recently, row. Harsha Lake is the host to multiple rowing events each year including Midwest Junior and the USRowing Club Nationals, which welcomes thousands of visitors to compete but more importantly to enjoy the park.
