Clermont County Represented at 2019 Heartland Travel Showcase
The group travel sector is an integral market within the travel industry. As the expanding travel industry trends shift, group travel will continue to grow into the future. Sales and Events Manager, Margaret Bedilion, attended the Heartland Travel Showcase to represent Clermont County on February 22-24, 2019 to focus on the group tour market of the entire Heartland region, which includes much of the Midwest and parts of Canada.
The showcase allows operators and exhibitors to have scheduled meetings to make brief introductions and highlight information about travel offerings in the area. A Heartland exhibitor, on average, sees $23,700 in economic impact and visitor dollar spending resulting from the show in a given year. At the annual event, tour operators and exhibitors can generate solid sales leads, build relationships, and book business!
Bedilion met with dozens of different tour companies looking for group tour destinations in 2020 and beyond. The CVB recently launched three tours including BBQs and Brews, Food and Farm, and Underground Railroad. These tours were a huge hit for groups looking for some of the most unique experiences in the Clermont County and the greater Cincinnati region.
