Earlier this month, the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau was selected to speak at the annual 2016 USRowing conference in Springfield, MA.
Clermont CVB President, Mark Calitri presented a class on “The Success of Volunteers and Volunteer Management.” USRowing and the National Rowing Referee Association selected Clermont County to lead this session because of the huge success from the 2016 Club Nationals.
“As we developed the curriculum for the Regatta Management program, Clermont County CVB’s volunteer management program was so effective, that they became an obvious choice for the opportunity. Their ability to recruit over 400 volunteers for our event made a noticeable difference. Their volunteers provided the event with quality race experience and demonstrated the community’s commitment and excitement for the sport,” said USRowing Event Manager, AJ Dominique.
There is a lot of preparation and planning that goes into making these events happen, but at the end of the day we owe our success to our volunteers for their countless hours of service to our community. On behalf of the Clermont County CVB and the Clermont County Sports Corporation, THANK YOU for volunteering for the 2016 USRowing Club Nationals. We hope to see you next year!
