CLERMONT COUNTY GEARING UP TO HOST ULTIMATE FRISBEE

BATAVIA, OH- The Clermont County Convention & Visitors Bureau in collaboration with Olympic Fields are gearing up to host the Rivertown Throwdown Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Olympic Fields, located in the heart of downtown Batavia, will host the tournament March 16-17, 2019.
Over 25 teams are expected to compete in the 5th year of the Rivertown Throwdown. Over half of those teams are anticipated to be out of town visitors.
“We are excited to work with the Cincinnati Ultimate Players Association and bring the Rivertown Throwdown Ultimate Frisbee Tournament to Clermont County, said Jeff Blom, President of the Clermont County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Ultimate Frisbee is a great way to utilize Olympic Fields outside of the soccer season, he added.”
The Rivertown Throwdown will feature high school level open team and girls only team competition. This tournament provides an early season opportunity to get team competition in after the winter break. Pool play will take place at Olympic Fields on Saturday and bracket play will continue Sunday.
“Athletes and spectators will be staying in Clermont County hotels for this event, as well as dining throughout the county,” said Blom.
Food and special activities for all teams, coaches, spectators and chaperones will take place at Olympic Fields Saturday evening.
