The Big Ten Invitational will feature 16 collegiate women’s rowing teams for a two day event on Harsha Lake in
East Fork State Park. Eight schools from The Big Ten Conference will participate in the spring invitational
including Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin. Guest teams
from outside of the Big Ten expected to compete include Alabama, Brown, Duke, Louisville, Notre Dame,
Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia. Practice sessions will occur on April 16 and competition will follow April 17-18,
with three rounds of racing over the course of the event, more than 70 races will be held throughout the
Over 600 athletes are expected to compete in the invitational, in addition, coaches, trainers, school officials,
families, and fans will be in attendance for the weekend. These visitors are expected to generate approximately
1,200 room nights for Clermont County hotels and have an estimated $450,000 in economic impact for the


Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club will host two (2) events at Harsha Lake in 2021. Cincinnati Jr. Rowing High
School Invitational will be held April 10th, 2021 and will feature 20 High School Rowing Clubs and 500 Athletes.
This event will bring in an additional 750 visitors to the county. Cincinnati Jr. Rowing Midwest Championship,
May 15th-16th, 2021, is a larger event bringing in 3,500 visitors including 2,000 athletes from 45 Clubs across
the country.
These rowing regattas combined will bring over 4,500 visitors to Clermont County in April and May 2020
