Land of Grant Trail 

April 27, 2024, marks the 202nd anniversary of the birth of Ulysses S. Grant, Lt. General of the United States Army and 18th President of the United States. Grant was born in Point Pleasant, Ohio (Clermont County) and his boyhood was spent in Georgetown, Ohio (Brown County) where he lived for 16 years, longer than any other place in his life. On this self-guided tour, you can explore 17 historical sites including his birthplace, boyhood home and more. You'll learn how his childhood cultivated the character of young Ulysses S. Grant that would catapult him to West Point and the White House. 

Clermont County Freedom Trail  

The Clermont County Freedom Trail to explore the 42 historical sites, 22 of which are approved to the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. Experience a mobile audio tour that makes it easier to explore all the stories, endeavors, and facts all from your fingertips. This self-guided journey highlights one of the largest Network to Freedom programs in the nation today. The Freedom Trail is a great way to educate students, schools, and Ohio history programs to serve as an informational piece on providing history about the Underground Railroad.
