An American Moment

"An American Moment" is an America 250 Clermont project, consisting of a series of twenty-four articles about American history written by Gary Knepp. The articles will explore the people, places and events which have shaped us as Americans. It will focus on The Nation, The State and The Local. About the Author: Attorney Gary Knepp, Clermont County's honorary historian, is a life-long resident of the Milford area. He was the director of the county's Underground Railroad research project and developer of the "Clermont County Freedom Trail." Knepp was an adjunct professor of history and political science at Clermont College. His work has appeared in academic journals, magazines, newspapers, several films, and on PBS. Gary has written eight books, including "Beyond the Names" which received the National Service Award from the Vietnam Veterans of America for its contributions to the Vietnam veteran's community.

Join us for the Bethel America 250 Mural Ribbon Cutting Ceremony as we celebrate a vibrant new art mural entitled "United in Service", honoring the upcoming semiquincentennial of the United States. The event will take place at 2:00pm on July 30th at the Bethel Historical Society & Museum and is open to the public. Nearby parking is available at the Community Center Park across the street from the museum. Celebrate art, community, and local pride- see you there!
