BETHEL, Ohio (WKRC) – Clermont County had a big boost in tourism this weekend thanks to rowing.
East Fork State Park hosted the USRowing Club National Championships.

More than 2,000 athletes from 115 different clubs were in town.
The athletes ranged from high school and middle school students to decorated seasoned rowers. Several Rio Paralympians also competed.

“I’ve been rowing for 11 years,” said Jenny Sichel, a Rio Paralympian. “I started in college at Biltmore College. I’ve lived all over the U.S. training and doing different things with rowing.”

This is the third year the competition was hosted at Harsha Lake in East Fork, and it’s grown every year.
