BATAVIA, OH- The Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce its recent hire of Jeff Blom, who will join the CVB team as President effective the beginning of October. Blom replaces previous President Mark Calitri, who left in May, and is excited to fill big shoes for the organization.

“I am very excited to become President of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau,” Blom said.

“I am proud to be a native of Clermont County, having grown up in New Richmond. From great restaurants, breweries and retail shopping to scenic hiking trails, lakes and rivers, Clermont County has much to offer visitors to our region, he added.”

After an extensive search of several dozen candidates the Visitors Bureau Board of Directors are happy to have found Blom. “He was an excellent candidate and comes to the CVB with a variety of tourism and hospitality experience,” said Chairman of the Board, Chris Hamm.
Blom comes to the Visitors Bureau with 25+ years of hospitality and tourism leadership. Most recently, Blom was the Marketing and Business Development Manager for Partnership Programs at AAA Club Alliance. Blom also spent time throughout his career at a variety of attractions and tourism organizations including BB Riverboats, Coney Island and the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Blom has big plans for the Visitors Bureau and will look to develop a lot of initiatives that both Calitri and current Interim President Jim Comodeca had started.

“I look forward to starting my role in early October. My main focus will be developing strategic marketing and sales plans, building partnerships and putting industry standard processes in place. I look forward to making our CVB one of the leaders for tourism in the state of Ohio,” he said.

Comodeca who has served as Interim President for the past five months will move back into his role as a member of the Visitor Bureaus Board of Directors, effective beginning of October.
“I have enjoyed my time as Interim President and have learned a lot throughout the process,” said Comodeca. Jeff will be a great addition to the CVB team and I am excited to move back onto the board knowing our staff will be in great hands,” he added.
