Discover Clermont recognized at the Ohio Travel Association Conference

The Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) recently received recognition at the Ohio Travel Association’s Conference on Travel held Oct. 2-4 in Toldeo, Ohio. Marketing and Communication Manager, Sarah Gleason received the Ohio Travel Industry Emerging Leader Award. This award honors promising travel leaders with fewer than ten years of professional experience in the industry.  Nominees for the award are evaluated based on their quality of work in tourism, growing level of leadership amongst tourism industry peers, community involvemnet and positive impact on tourism in Ohio. Jeff Blom, President of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, shared, "Sarah has continually developed both as a tourism marketing professional and leader in the Clermont County community. We are over the moon that she received the Emerging Leader Award this year."
“I’m so honored to receive the Emerging Leader Award,” said Sarah Gleason. “I’m so fortunate to have found an industry I’m passionate about so early in my career. This is great motivation to keep learning, growing and advancing the travel industry in Clermont County.”  
In addition, the CVB received a Citation of Excellence for Targeted Marketing Campaign during the Ruby Awards. The Ohio Travel Association’s RUBY Awards recognize excellence in Ohio’s hospitality and tourism industry for efforts in advertising, marketing and public relations. The awards, sponsored by Ohio Magazine, were presented during the Ohio Conference on Travel, the state’s tourism conference for all sectors of the tourism industry.
