Jun. 18 2025

Miami Township, OH – June 17, 2025 – The Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Miami Township, the Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce, and local artist Kate Albert, are proud to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony and community celebration for a brand-new Outdoor Fitness Court® and a vibrant new art mural honoring America 250-the upcoming semiquincentennial of the United States.

The event will take place at 4:00pm on June 27th at Community Park, 5951 Buckwheat Rd. Milford, OH 45150- and is open to the public.

The Fitness Court®, developed by National Fitness Campaign, offers residents and visitors aged 14+ and of all fitness levels a free, accessible space to enjoy full-body workouts in a beautiful outdoor setting. The Fitness Court® is the first in the region and features a series of bodyweight exercises arranged in a circuit-style layout, with easy-to-follow instructions and optional free app integration.

"We're thrilled to bring together fitness, art, and national pride in one beautiful space," said Steve Kelly, Miami Township Administrator. "This project not only supports healthy living and community wellness but also highlights Miami Township's participation in the America 250 celebration, connecting our local heritage to the broader story of the United States."

“We are excited to have Miami Township join us in the journey to improve health and wellness as we work to make a powerful and long-lasting impact on health outcomes and happiness by building healthy communities across America,’’ said Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. “The addition of the outdoor Fitness Court, along with digital wellness programming, demonstrates a tremendous commitment to the health and wellbeing within the Miami Township community.”

In addition to the Fitness Court®, the site now features a striking America 250 mural from local artist Kate Albert that commemorates the spirit of community, and history of Miami Township ahead of the nation's semiquincentennial celebration in 2026. This mural is the first of eight planned installations that will be unveiled throughout Clermont County over the next year.

“Public art is something that many residents of Clermont County have been interested in for years. With 2026 approaching, our America 250-Clermont County committee thought this was a perfect timing to combine art and history, sharing our rich history through beautiful murals in celebration of our county’s semiquicentennial,” shared Jeff Blom, President of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Co-Chair of the America 250-Clermont County committee.

The murals are sponsored and supported by community organizations including Duke Energy Foundation and Connect Clermont- a community service organization working to improve the overall quality of life for Clermont County residents.

This exciting event will mark the debut of a public space that combines health, art, and heritage. All are invited to attend - RSVP below.
