Ohio Governor Signs Bill to Designate Richard "Dick" Mallon Memorial Highway.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed House Bill 81 into Ohio law, announced State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland). Incorporated into the bill was House Bill 268, legislation sponsored by Schmidt to designate a portion of State Route 32 in Clermont County as the Richard "Dick" Mallon Memorial Highway.

“I am honored to be joined by Mr. Mallon’s family for this bill signing,” said Schmidt. “Mr. Mallon touched many lives and was instrumental in growing the Clermont community. This road naming is but one way to honor this magnificent man who has left a legacy that touched the lives of many. Mr. Mallon dedicated his life to both his country and community in many ways. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a board member of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce, helped establish LEAD Clermont, co-founded the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and co-founded the Cincinnati Regatta at East Fork State Park, among many other achievements.”

In the near future, the Ohio Department of Transportation will put up a sign dedicating the Richard “Dick” Mallon Memorial Highway.
