The Nature Center is set within a beautiful 1,800-acre preserve of forested hills, wetlands, and prairies. Whether you’re looking for a rustic indoor space, an elegant outdoor pavilion, or an intimate woodland setting, there’s a location here that can fit your needs.

The Nature Center features 2 unique lodges: the Krippendorf Lodge and Groesbeck Lodge, both with AV equipment capabilities.

Nestled among the stunning woodland gardens, the impressive Krippendorf Lodge provides exceptional indoor and outdoor meeting and event space to accommodate groups up to 220. A stunning, covered porch wraps around the facility and offers additional space for many different event options. Inside the lodge, several wood-paneled rooms can be flexibly joined together as one open space or remain as separate, more intimate enclosures.

The beautiful Groesbeck Estate will accommodate 45 guests inside with outdoor space for an additional 120 guests. Groesbeck features a front terrace, indoor space, and an expansive, covered Tritsch Terrace that offers space for larger meetings, retreats, and dinner. Located in the front of the Groesbeck Estate is the Haile Pillar Garden, a circle of stone pillars that offers a grassy space within, and can host up to 120 people seated theater-style. The circle garden is also a lovely outdoor option for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, breakaway work sessions, team-building activities, or awards ceremonies.

The Nature Center also has 2 outdoor shelters, The Krehbiel Pavilion and Fernwood Shelter, available for rent which hold 50-75 guests, as well as 2 small meeting rooms in the Visitor Center. Add an educational element with a tour or cooking classes that focus on environmental sustainability!
