Dear Clermont County Tourism Partners:
For the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), 2023 was a year of accomplishments that included national rowing events, an international sports event and marketing milestones.
The 2023 annual report represents our important initiative to promote Clermont County as a great Midwest destination for sporting events, meetings, group tours, and leisure travelers, which produces a positive economic impact for the county.
Direct spending from visitors to Clermont County helped support our hotels, attractions, restaurants, retail stores and more. Increased spending in 2023 generated more area tax revenues for the county and lodging tax for municipalities where hotels are located, and the CVB.
The hotels in our area had an excellent year overall. Clermont County hotel average daily rate, revenue per available room and overall lodging tax saw increases in 2023. The lodging tax funds the CVB budget and our sales and marketing efforts in attracting new visitors in 2024 and future years.
On behalf of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau and our Board of Directors, I would like to thank all our stakeholders. From our state, county, and local officials to our partners at hotels, sports facilities, meeting venues, attractions, restaurants, breweries, wineries, distilleries, specialty retail stores and more...thank you for advancing tourism in Clermont County! Lastly, over the past couple of years we have lost some very important and well-loved leaders, Dick Mallon and June Creager, who created and built our organization during the 1980’s and 1990’s. In addition, Bill Engeman, who co-founded the Cincinnati Regatta with Dick Mallon, passed away a few months ago. They were all instrumental in the development of tourism and world class rowing in Clermont County.
