Harsha Lake and Clermont County Chosen Over Other Venues
While competition for hosting the USRowing Club National Championships is fierce, Harsha Lake and Clermont County won out due to their world-class facilities and the enthusiasm and involvement of the local community. With the planned new beach house that includes indoor and outdoor showers, new bathrooms and an observation area, as well as designated outdoor vendor space, pull-through campsites and new docks, the upgrades to East Fork State Park are paying off. Director James Zehringer of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources cites the local rowing community’s commitment as one of the reasons for securing the prestigious event this year. Most of the upgrades will be ready for the championships.
